It's been an up and down year for Keaontay Ingram, but the sophomore running back looks like he might finally be hitting his stride.

Ingram went for a career-high 139 yards, scored two touchdowns and marked the fourth 100-yard game of his career in a 27-24 win over Kansas State.

While the stats were impressive, it was the physicality Ingram exhibited that really made the performance stand out.

Ingram played "with a chip on his shoulder" according to the running back's postgame comments, something teammate Collin Johnson certainly noticed.

"He's a beast," Receiver Collin Johnson said of Ingram. "I was like, 'man you're running angry. What did someone do to you?'

"He's 230 pounds, guys," Texas head coach Tom Herman said. "I don't know what he played at last year, but he's a lot more confident in his body. He's a lot more confident in his strength and his power, and he's -- last few weeks he's been playing at a really good level."

Against a top 30 defense against the run the Longhorns owned the line of scrimmage and Ingram's physicality helped his team milk the last 6:34 off the clock in an impressive drive that culminated with a Cameron Dicker game-winning field goal.

Ingram said this was the type of game that a player can build off of, but he's far from satisfied with his current level of performance.

"I feel like I got more in the tank," Ingram said. "I feel like I left some yards out there."
