Longhorns Dominate ESPN's Big 12 Season Predictions

ESPN predicts that the Texas Longhorns have a good chance at making a run for the Big 12 title while also taking home some individual awards.

The Texas Longhorns appear to be locked and loaded with talent heading into the upcoming season.

And according to ESPN, this should prove true by the end of the season through both team and individual accolades in Austin.

ESPN revealed its predictions for the Big 12 Conference on Monday, and the Longhorns are everywhere. The site has Texas winning the Big 12 in its farewell season, while finishing with a 10-2 record and 8-1 in conference.

As far as individual awards go, Texas is projected to be busy in that department as well.

Here are the Longhorns that ESPN is predicting will take home some post-season hardware:

LB Jaylan Ford - Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year

LB Anthony Hill - Big 12 Freshman of the Year

WR AD Mitchell - Big 12 Comeback Player of the Year

Additionally, ESPN ranks Texas vs. Alabama in Week 2 as the Big 12's non-conference game of the year.

With all this talent, the Longhorns have put themselves in position for a 10-win season. But the real question is - do the Longhorns have it in them to bring home their first Big 12 conference title since 2009 in their last season before transferring to the SEC?

This season will mark Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian's third year as the leader of the Longhorns' roster. Third time's a charm right?
