According to On3 Sports, Brockermeyer is slated to join Sonny Dykes' staff at TCU for the upcoming season as a graduate assistant.

A full-time starter in 2021 under then-first-year coach Steve Sarkisian, Brockermeyer was one of the Longhorns' more productive players en route to a 5-7 record. He registered 72 total tackles, five tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, and two interceptions.

For his efforts, Brockermeyer was named an All-Big 12 honorable mention. Prior to the season finale win over Kansas State, Brockermeyer suffered a torn ACL, thus limiting him to just 15 snaps in his final season on the Forty Acres.

Brockermeyer, the son of former Texas All-American offensive tackle Blake Brockermeyer, won't be the only person from the herald family that calls Fort Worth home next fall. Former five-star prospect Tommy Brockermeyer elected to transfer from Alabama to the Horned Frogs this offseason after spending one season in Tuscaloosa.

Tommy's twin brother, James Brockermeyer, will continue his playing career under Nick Saban for the upcoming season. The Longhorns travel to Bryant-Denny Stadium to take the Crimson Tide on Sept. 9 as part of a home-and-home series scheduled back in 2018.

Texas will soon become a staple of the SEC, along with Big 12 rival Oklahoma, when the two programs join the conference next season.

As a native of Fort Worth, TX, and a product of All Saints Episcopal High School, Luke Brockermeyer began his Texas career as a walk-on in 2018. He earned a scholarship in 2019 and spent five seasons with the program.

For his career, Brockermeyer finished with 75 total tackles, five tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, and two interceptions. Texas will face not face TCU in its final season of the Big 12 due to the expansion of the conference with four new programs.
