Could Texas Have Nation's Most Explosive Offense?

According to one analyst, the Texas Longhorns will be among the nation's most explosive offenses in 2024.

The Texas Longhorns fell just short of the national title game last season, losing a heartbreaker to the Washington Huskies in the Sugar Bowl.

Following the loss many of the Longhorns' top talents elected to head to the NFL, including their top four pass catches in Ja'Tavion Sanders, Xavier Worthy, Adonai Mitchell and Jordan Whittington.

Not to mention, their top running back Jonathon Brooks also took his talents to the next level.

To help combat that, however, the Longhorns landed an elite haul from the NCAA Transfer Portal, securing names like Isaiah Bond and Amari Niblack from Alabama, and Matthew Golden from Houston, among others, adding to an already talented group of returning players.

With that in mind, 247Sports college football analyst Brad Crawford ranked the college football offenses that could be the most explosive in 2024, putting the Longhorns near the top of the list at No. 5.

Said Crawford:

Anchored by a top-tier offensive line, Texas joins the SEC with its sights set on winning the league and getting the playoff's top seed. The most important factor in producing an explosive offense in 2024 for the Longhorns is the return of Quinn Ewers at quarterback. He's going to make everything continue to go for this unit and gets 15 practices — without being touched this spring — to build relationships with many of these newcomers, including Alabama transfers Bond, Amari Niblack and Oregon State's Silas Bolden, who's expected to assume the slot role. Masterful play-caller Steve Sarkisian has another loaded group.

Ahead of the Horns on the list were Ohio State at No. 1, Oregon at No. 2, Ole Miss at No. 3, and Liberty at No. 4.

Meanwhile, Memphis came in behind Texas at No. 6, followed in order by Georgia, Miami, Oklahoma, and LSU.
