UCLA Football: Bruins Continue Pursuit Of OL

The UCLA Bruins have a fresh, new start ahead of them. The program will enter a new conference with a new coaching staff. Things will be different for the Bruins, and things have already been so different since the hiring of head coach DeShaun Foster.

While all that is true, some things remain the same, like who they are targeting on the recruiting side of everything.

Brandon Huffman of Bruins Online says the program still targets Oregon offensive tackle Zac Stascausky. The Bruins offered the three-star recruit in January when former head coach Chip Kelly and offensive coach Tim Drevno recruited him. Although the former coach recruited Stascausky, this new coaching staff will continue recruiting the Oregon native.

Stascausky told Huffman the new coaching staff is showing great interest in him.

"The new UCLA staff seems very invested and I am excited to get to know them better," said Stascausky. "The conversations are great and they are sending me film and getting me interested."

Stascausky is from Portland, Oregon, and attends Central Catholic High School. He is the number 63rd offensive tackle in his class of 2025, and the number three player in Oregon.

He also has offers from BYU, Arizona, Idaho, UNLV and Washington State to name a few. While the Bruins have made it known of their interest, Stascausky said he is still weighing his options as he will enter his senior season soon.

"Other schools are still trying and nothing is set," said Stascausky. "All of my doors are still open. I have a few other visits planned in the coming weeks."
