UCLA Football: Chip Kelly and His Staff Urge For Donations To NIL Collective

The Men of Westwood published a video on their new YouTube channel soliciting Bruins fans for donations.

The "Men of Westwood" is the official NIL collective of UCLA's football and men's basketball programs. It is designed to drive NIL dollars into the hands of the student-athletes in both of these programs.

This morning, Chip Kelly along with several staffers under him were featured in a video asking Bruin fans to donate to the Men of Westwood NIL collective.

The video highlighted how UCLA sees NIL playing an important role in recruiting and retaining their players. "The game has changed. Help us stay a step ahead" said Chip Kelly. "Now is the time to show your pride for the Bruin gold as the Bruins prepare to make their move to the Big 10" said defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn

UCLA wide receivers coach Jerry Neuheisel mentioned that 100% of the proceeds from any donations go entirely to the players.

UCLA only has eight football players who, according to their On3 NIL valuation, are worth over $100K. For comparison, USC's top eight players in terms of On3's NIL valuation all are valued above $400K. It sure seems like UCLA has some ground to cover in the NIL space.

One notable partnership that the Men of Westwood has agreed to is a fan engagement deal with Rivals Media

All this one the same day that 2024 running back recruit Derrick McFall de-committed from the Bruins. 247Sports reported that NIL will play a big factor in his recruitment.
