UCLA Football: Carson Steele Announces Decision to Enter NFL Draft

After one season at UCLA, Steele will move on to the NFL

UCLA junior running back Carson Steele is one-and-done as a Bruin.

Steele announced he will declare for the 2024 NFL draft via Twitter.

Steele spent one season as a Bruin. Before transferring to UCLA, the the 6'1", 225-pound RB spent two seasons at Ball State.

In the 2023 season, Carson had 167 carries for 847 yards, six rushing touchdowns, and an average of 5.1 per carry. Steel's best game came against the Washington State Cougars, where he rushed for 141 yards on 30 carries. Although he didn't have a touchdown, he was a big reason for UCLA pulling off that 25-17 upset victory on October 7th.

Carson is a workhorse back and could be an excellent back in the NFL. According to NFL Draft Buzz, he is projected to be an undrafted free agent and is ranked 24th in his position. All that means nothing now, and we wish him the best in the next level.
