Your UCLA Bruins are fleshing out their 2023-24 roster with yet another new international prospect.

Per a press release, May's 2023 Adidas Next Generation Tournament MVP, 6'6" wing Jan Vide has inked a grant-in-aid with the Blue and Gold.

Across eight games against some of the most elite prospects around the globe, the Slovenian shooting guard averaged 19.3 points on 52.9% shooting from the floor and 78.8% shooting from the charity stripe, along with 4.8 boards and 3.6 dimes per night.

"Jan is a lead guard with great size, standing at 6-foot-6, and he has shown that he can handle the ball and excel in the pick and roll at a very high level," the press statement quotes head coach Mick Cronin as declaring. "He's been very well-known and highly regarded on the international basketball scene, having won multiple awards in European competition. Jan brings great toughness and talent to the table."

"He is a great young man with a tremendous future," Cronin raved. "He's going to be able to play multiple positions for us. Certainly, he can help us score the ball and can create for others. We are very excited than Jan has chosen to come to Westwood and be a Bruin."

Vide will join four other freshmen commits in this year's new class: French wing Ilane Fibleuil, Lake Elsinore native Devin Williams, New York-based forward Brandon Williams and four-star shooting guard Sebastian Mack out of Las Vegas.
