UCLA Basketball: Former Third-Team All-American Submits Robust Summer League Stint

In this story:
Several UCLA Bruins alums turned in terrific runs during an NBA Summer League that, even though it was missing June's top three draft picks for several contests, proved pretty darn watchable.
6'6" ex-UCLA shooting guard Johnny Juzang, playing in his second Summer League go-round with the Utah Jazz, did his darnedest to prove once again that he belonged on a league roster heading into the 2023-24 season.
Juzang is an unrestricted free agent at present, but his Summer League stint could convince the Jazz's front office brain trust comprising CEO of basketball Danny Ainge and general manager Justin Zanik to give him another look this year, perhaps as an affiliate player with the Salt Lake City Stars.
The Jazz also have all three of their two-way slots available, and Juzang's abilities as a long-range sniper with some length and height for his position could make him perhaps worth a gander at that level, too.
Across six bouts for Utah, the former Third-Team All-American logged averages of 15.8 points on .507/.515/.625 shooting splits (that free throw tally is pretty lackluster, but that three-point rate is encouraging) and 3.8 boards.
Here's hoping he gets an NBA opportunity in 2023-24, even if it's on a G League roster to start the year.
