Although Bob Myers may best be known today as the GM and team president who stewarded the Golden State Warriors to six NBA Finals and four titles, he was also a (little-used) reserve forward on your UCLA Bruins from 1993-1997, winning an NCAA championship in '95.

Now, it appears he is transitioning to his next post-playing career.

Sources inform Ryan Glasspiegel of The New York Post that Myers, a two-time NBA Executive of the Year award winner, is closing in on a contract with ESPN to be the latest analyst for the Worldwide Leader's "NBA Countdown" program.

"NBA Today" host Malika Andrews is set to replace Mike Greenberg on the program, while another co-host, player-turned-ESPN personality Jalen Rose, was let go earlier this year.

As far as Myers' UCLA career goes, the 6'7" swingman never made much of an on-court impact for the club during his four-year tenure in school, averaging a scant 1.4 points on 52.9% field goal shooting and 1.3 boards in 5.2 minutes a night. He did, however, get the opportunity start at times during the Bruins' run to the Elite Eight during his senior season.

Following his Bruins run, Myers opted to represent players as an agent, transitioning to a front office role with Golden State in 2011. From 2012-23, while serving as the club's GM, he helped the Dubs achieve a 571-279 regular season record. He was in charge of the team when it drafted future Hall of Famer Draymond Green, key championship starters Harrison Barnes and Kevon Looney, and sixth man Jordan Poole. He also inked Andre Iguodala, Kevin Durant, Zaza Pachulia, Gary Payton II, Shaun Livingston, David West, JaVale McGee, and Leandro Barbosa all of whom helped the club win its titles. Additionally, Myers traded to acquire Andrew Wiggins.

Myers was also responsible for hiring head coach Steve Kerr, the man who still quarterbacks the team from the sidelines to this day, in 2014.
