UCLA Basketball: Ailing Bruins Freshman On Mend For Team's Last 2 Games

Thank goodness!

Your 14-15 UCLA Bruins men's basketball program (9-9- in the Pac-12) will have its work cut out for it as the team strives to avoid just its fifth sub-.500 season in the last 75, with the Bruins' final two matchups of the regular season slated for this Thursday against the Arizona Wildcats and Saturday against the Arizona State Sun Devils. Both bouts will be hosted by UCLA at Pauley Pavilion.

It appears that one ailing Bruin in particular is at least on the mend ahead of these two contests, according to Ben Bolch of The Los Angeles Times.

Head coach Mick Cronin revealed after the team's latest loss, a 77-65 defeat to the 23-7 Washington State Cougars, that freshman guard Brandon Williams appears to be recovering from the cramps and respiratory illness that he had to deal with while playing last week.

Williams, a versatile 6'7" first-year guard out of Christ The King High School in Queens, is averaging 3.3 points on .371/.292/.706 shooting splits and 2.2 rebounds per bout, across 28 contests (11 starts).
