UCLA Basketball: Bruins Take Full Advantage of Coach Limit Increase with New Hires

In this story:
Your UCLA Bruins have quite the 2023-2024 basketball season ahead of them and with reports of Aday Mara and Berke Buyuktuncel officially joining the roster soon, everything seems to be going according to plan. Obviously, the departure of top assistant coach Ivo Simovic to the Toronto Raptors will hurt considering how important he's been to the program.
However, with a number of top freshman recruits on the way in such as Sebastian Mack and Devin Williams, it's clear that the Bruins were going to look to maximize the new rule that they could add two new assistants to help out with skills and player development.
And they have done just that as UCLA announced some new basketball hirings in Nemanja Jovanovic and Brendyn Taylor this morning. On top of that, Nate Georgeton has also gone from Director of Student-Athlete Development to an official assistant.

Jovanovic has a very hefty resume on his hands as he has most recently coached at DePaul and has about seven years of Division 1 coaching experience. He has also previously been a member of summer league and overseas coaching staffs.
On top of his coaching experience, Brendyn Taylor also has an illustrious playing career on the court seeing that he logged seasons at the University of Southern California. He also most recently served as an assistant on St.John's staff.
The Bruins will definitely benefit from bringing such polished coaches and Georgeton has already been with the program for quite some time so he's familiar with the team's culture. This will be a huge season for the Bruins, their final in the Pac-12 conference, and they are going all in.
