UCLA Basketball: Expert Believes Bruins Will Be 'Most Interesting Experiment' in New Season

We are certainly hoping it's a successful one!

UCLA basketball fans are no strangers to their program pairing up some of the best talent from all across the world year in and year out. So many of them have gone on to have prominent NBA careers such as Baron Davis, Jrue Holiday and Russell Westbrook just to name a few.

However, for the first time in a while, those same fans will tune in to games this year and be watching a whole new group of players than they were accustomed to before. The likes of Jaime Jaquez, Tyger Campbell and Jaylen Clark all made way to the NBA and a new generation has touched down in Westwood.

Sebastian Mack hopes to continue impressing the coaching staff with his fiery point guard abilities, Aday Mara and Berke Buyuktuncel will do their best to translate their international skillset to the Bruins system and both Devin Williams and Brandon Williams hope to contribute on both ends.

With that being said, The Athletic's CJ Moore and Sam Vecenie placed UCLA in their top 25 heading into the preseason and coined them as the most interesting experiment in college hoops.

"UCLA is truly going to be the most interesting experiment in college basketball this season. No team has ever brought in this many international players onto one roster and asked them to play an immediate role, a function of NIL opportunities expanding the recruiting marketplace globally in a significant way."

It will be very exciting to see how this group gels over the next few months and we already got a first glimpse at them during their international tour recently. However, they did not have their full roster so we cannot wait until that comes into fruition.
