The UCLA Bruins Men's Basketball team came away with a one-point victory against UC Riverside, improving to 5-2 on the season after taking down the Highlanders 66-65. They did this all without head coach Mick Cronin, who had to sit the game out after contracting COVID-19. 

Assistant head coach Darren Sarvino for stepping in and coaching the team to a huge victory. Now, the Bruins will face off against Villanova on Saturday, complete with Coach Cronin back in the fold.

Predictions:

Despite the UCLA Bruins having to travel to Philadelphia to face off against Villanova, I expect the team to bounce back in a big way from their near loss to UCR. Villanova is coming off three losses, and though they could use the Bruins as their redemption game, it won't play out the way that they hope. 

The Bruins will ride the wave of being one of the bigger defensive powerhouses in the Pac-12 this year. Cronin will ensure that his team wears down the Wildcats enough for the Bruins to come away with a victory:
