Coming off an expanded role in last year's NCAA Tournament, senior big Kenneth Nwuba is getting his work in early this summer with the rest of the Bruins.

During a recent practice, Nwuba gave Bruins fans a taste of just how relentless of a finisher he can be in the paint.

Slipping on a high pick and roll, Nwuba dove to the rim and surrounded by two defenders slammed one down and excited the entire gym.

Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, the big man played extensively as a reserve for a majority of his first four years with the program.

More playing time was in the cards for Nwuba last season as he saw his minutes increase to over 12 per game and was a key contributor off the bench for the Bruins.

In the NCAA tournament, teammate Adem Bona was hampered by a shoulder injury he suffered in the Pac-12 tournament. As a result Nwuba played a key role for UCLA during March Madness.

Against UNC Asheville, Nwuba put up a career-high 10 points in an important victory for the Bruins to move onto the next round

Paired up against the Gonzaga Bulldogs, Nwuba logged another career high in the biggest game of the season. The Nigerian played an important 31 minutes for the Bruins and played some tough defense against recent Karl Malone award winner Drew Timme.

Though the game ended in heartbreak at the hands of their new rival in the West Coast Conference, the Bruins needed every last ounce of effort that Nwuba gave them to even make the contest that close to end things.

If not for a Julian Strawther bomb from over 30 feet, the Bruins could have gone all the way for the first time in decades.

No matter the result, the Bruins are looking to wash the taste of that loss out of their mouths rather quickly.

Nwuba looks to be doing just that after taking some anger out on the rim with a dazzling play.
