UCLA Women's Basketball: Cori Close Makes Bold Claim About Pac-12's Best Teams

The Bruins may have fallen in the Pac-12 last night, but they've still got March Madness impending...

Last night during their Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal matchup, your UCLA Bruins lost in a hard-scrabble overtime bout, 80-70, to the USC Trojans.

USC will now square off against the No. 1-seeded Stanford Cardinal in the event's championship game on Sunday afternoon. UCLA, meanwhile, heads home, where it will await its seeding in the NCAA Tournament.

Per Luca Evans of The Orange County Register, Bruins head coach Cori Close spoke glowingly postgame of the two clubs, confident that UCLA belongs in the same company... and that that company belongs at the top of the March Madness seeding this month.

“This’ll obviously be for the committee to decide, but I think what you’ve seen is we have three No. 1 seeds in this conference,” Close said.
