Reidsville High School (N.C.) sophomore Kendre' Harrison, a five-star recruit as both a tight end and power forward, took a UNC football visit in the fall. Now, the 6-foot-7, 235-pound athletic phenom is set to check out the UNC basketball program on Monday, according to his head coach, Jason Ross.

Presumably, he'll be in the Smith Center to watch the fourth-ranked Tar Heels (15-3, 7-0 ACC) as they look to extend their winning streak to nine when they host unranked Wake Forest (13-5, 5-2 ACC) at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN).

Harrison, No. 7 overall and No. 1 in North Carolina on the 247Sports 2026 Composite for football, ranks No. 19 among the cycle's basketball players in the eyes of ESPN.

He holds an offer from Tar Heel football head coach Mack Brown and his staff. But he has not received one from Hubert Davis and the basketball recruiters in Chapel Hill.

In fact, he's reported only a few hoop offers. One is from UNC's rival, NC State, where his uncle, CC Harrison, was a potent scorer as a sharpshooting guard in the late 1990s.

The 2026 UNC basketball offer sheet remains blank. It's certainly possible that'll change by the time Kendre' Harrison leaves campus or later this week.

After all, he's repeatedly reminded folks of his desire to play both football and basketball at the college level. So, an early pursuit by Hubert Davis & Co. could give Mack Brown and his crew a better shot at reeling in the nation's No. 1 tight end.
