USC Basketball: Bronny James Takes Big Step Towards Trojans Debut

After suffering a cardiac arrest in July, Bronny James is on the path to recovery.

This is a great sign, as him being back out on the court pregame suggests that he could definitely be back in-game sooner rather than later. Here's a specific update on the situation:
Bronny James is going to get a check up at the end of the month, according to LeBron James. If he’s cleared, he will practice with the intention to return to game action for USC this season.

Importantly, there's no reason to rush back, as USC doesn't enter conference play for a bit longer, which represents the real challenge in their schedule. Starting on December 28th, they'll have to deal with multiple matchups against Arizona, UCLA, and other Pac-12 foes.
To that end, James would be an immediate contributor, however, as USC lacks depth at guard, with Oziyah Sellers being the only guard to receive minutes outside of the starting rotation this season.
