USC Basketball: College Expert Raves About Returning Trojan Guard

In this story:
Boogie Ellis decided to go against the grain this past offseason after he had the opportunity to enter the 2023 NBA Draft and instead opted to return to the USC Trojans for a third season in hopes of winning some hardware. Ellis averaged 17 points last season for USC and he has developed into a leader for them on and off the court.
We hope that everything is okay with Bronny James' health after his cardiac arrest on Monday because he was set to thrive next to Ellis and Isaiah Collier and the Trojans could have a special year ahead of them with this mix of elite guards. Ellis has already spoken on what it felt like to lose so early in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament and he'll be entering this season with a big chip on his shoulder.
College basketball insider Jon Rothstein spoke on the fifth-year guard in a recent interview and he believes that he should be the PAC-12 Preseason Player of the Year.

"Boogie Ellis should be the PAC-12 Preseason Player of the Year. It's so rare that a player who averaged over 17 points in his fourth year opts to come back but USC has that like I said, he should be the PAC-12 Preseason Player of the Year prior to the start of the 2023-2024 season."

It definitely will Ellis' year to shine and fans should be ready to see him thrive alongside some talent in Galen Center. He's already shown NBA scouts what he could get done at the next level and this season should be personal to him to win for USC!
