USC Basketball: Trojan-Turned-NBA Two-Way Signing Impressing Fans In Summer League

In this story:
By now, most NBA fans know who the Mobley brothers are. Evan and Isaiah were both taken by the Cleveland Cavaliers just one year apart after spending their college time with the Trojans. Evan is the more well-known player as he went third overall in the 2021 NBA Draft, but his brother can play as well.
He was selected in the second round of the 2022 NBA Draft and spent most of his first season in the league in the G-League.
He only saw 12 games of action in the NBA, averaging just 2.6 points over seven minutes per game. But he did shoot 37.5 percent from three-point range during his limited time. The former USC product entered this summer looking for a chance to prove his worth with the Cavaliers and he has been doing so throughout the NBA summer league so far.
In the teams last game against the Brooklyn Nets, we got to see it all on display. Mobley scored 23 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out five assists in route to the win. He led the Cavaliers to the summer league championship where they will play the Houston Rockets.

During his final season with the Trojans, Mobley averaged 14.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game while also shooting 35.2 percent from three. It was an impressive year for him and led to him being drafted.
The Cavaliers coaching staff and front office has some decisions to make but Mobley could be on the shortlist for bench minutes. It would be a cool story for him to join his brother in the rotation and actually spend time up in the NBA this season.
