USC overcame a 12-point deficit at the half with a 27-point second-half performance from Ellis and went on a 25-3 run to beat the then-ranked No. 8 Bruins.
Ellis was 10-of-10 from the free throw line, dished six assists, and grabbed four rebounds.

Drew Peterson had 16 points and six rebounds while Kobe Johnson scored 10 with five boards and five assists.
"Me and Drew told the guys that we've been in this position before," Ellis said after last year's game. "We're the leaders. So we told them, 'We can't panic, you know, we're going to come out, we're gonna hit him in the mouth in the second half. You know, forget it. Forget what happened in the first half.'"

Saturday's game is still the same rivalry but the Bruins are not a ranked team. Both teams bring an 8-11 record to the matchup and Ellis is a game-time decision after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury.
