Former USC Star Pushed by Opposing RB After Dominant Win in Postgame Handshakes

A divisional rivalry to the highest degree.

USC alum and current 49ers safety Talanoa Hufanga helped his team to a win this past weekend, but the biggest story might have come after the clocks hit triple zeroes.

San Francisco beat their division rival Arizona by a score of 35-16 and the result caused Cardinals running back James Conner to take his anger out on Hufanga post-game.

Conner got held in check by a stout Niner defense and likely took out some frustrations on the now-undefeated unit that boasts Hufanga's talents.

The former Pittsburgh Steeler rushed for just 52 yards on 11 carries after two prior successful weeks against the Cowboys and the Giants.

San Francisco's star safety became the subject of Conner's anger and it remains uncertain why the old Trojan got singled out in the scuffle.

Hufanga, to his credit, looked unbothered after another dominant win for the NFC powerhouse on the road to an undefeated start to their 4-0 season.

A Man of Troy in his football past, Hufanga was drafted by the Niners in the fifth round of the 2021 draft after a stellar USC career.

There were 31 other teams that came to regret passing on the superstar as the now-third-year pro earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl nods in his first season as a starter in 2022.

Poised for another postseason run as one of the NFL's best teams, Hufanga and his teammates are eager for redemption after an embarrassing loss to Philadelphia in last season's NFC Championship game.

Tied for the joint-best record in football with those same Eagles, early signs point to both teams clashing once again for the NFC crown in January.

Hufanga and his teammates want a different result and an eventual Lombardi trophy back in the Bay Area no matter who's throwing punches in their path.
