The USC Trojans are one of the more historic programs in all of college sports, and it has seen them have plenty of star power within their teams. Now, with the rise of NIL deals across college athletics, the Trojans are once again one of the top-earning schools regarding their players.

One of those players is a freshman wide receiver, and his rise has been incredible to see this season. Receiver Zachariah Branch is already making a good amount of money in his NIL earnings. He is currently the 56th highest-valued player in college sports with a $690,000 value, according to On3.com.

This is a great amount of money to be earning for a freshman player, but Branch has more than earned it so far this season. He has been special when he has been able to be on the field, and it has helped unlock some things for the Trojans team.

Branch has dealt with some injuries this year, but he is an electric player with lightning speed. He uses it to his advantage, and we have already seen him take back multiple punt returns for touchdowns.

He gives the Trojans another element on both offense and special teams. It's a big reason why the Trojans have been so high on him, and he should only continue to get better with time.

If he ever becomes a more consistent threat as a wide receiver, it would open things up fully for the already potent USC offense. His speed could allow them to space the field out, and it would potentially force opposing defenses to have to double-team him. This would leave others open, and the Trojans could fully click on the offensive side of the ball.

Branch has been great to see this season, and as the year progresses, it'll be fun to watch him grow. He has all the tools to succeed but now needs to go out and execute things on the field.
