In this story:

Through the first three weeks of the new college football season, the USC Trojans have looked the part of a championship contender. The offense has been clicking on all cylinders, and the defense has stepped up from what they were a year ago.

It has been great to see both sides of the ball working in sync to help make the Trojans that much more dangerous. They have had relatively easy competition so far, and this week they travel to take on the Arizona State Sun Devils on the road. It will be the Trojans first game away from the LA Coliseum, so it will be a good challenge to see if they can take the show on the road.

While the Sun Devils aren’t the best team, any game on the road in college football can cause issues. They would love nothing more than to knock off the Trojans and spoil their hopes for an undefeated season.

The USC game looks to be a one-sided affair, but around the rest of the Pac-12 conference, there are multiple games that should spark the interest of fans. There are three games, to be exact, that could end up playing a role in how the Trojans season plays out down the line.

"The Pac-12 hasn’t reached the College Football Playoff since 2016. It needs its best teams to do well, and its middle-tier teams to do reasonably well … but not to the point that they knock the title contenders out of the playoff."

Per Matt Zemek of Trojans Wire

The upstart Colorado Buffalos heads up to Autzen Stadium to face the Oregon Ducks, in what should be a high-powered contest. USC faces off against Colorado next week, so this is a game to keep an eye on this weekend.

Number 15th ranked Oregon State matchups up against number 24 Washington State in what could be a high-scoring game. This game may not affect the Trojans right now, but it could at some point, depending on how the rest of the season goes.

And finally, the rival UCLA Bruins, ranked 22, head to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Utes, ranked 11. USC plays both of these teams this season, so this game could alter many things for the Trojans based on the outcome.

Either way, it should be a fun weekend for the Pac-12, and there could be major ramifications coming from these games. It won’t only affect the conference but possibly the College Football Playoff race as well.
