Report: USC football still recruiting 4-star Oregon Ducks commit

USC was one of four-star Texas safety Aaron Flowers' finalists when he committed to Oregon back in April

USC was one of four-star Texas safety Aaron Flowers' finalists when he committed to Oregon back in April. And apparently, the Trojans aren't done recruiting him.

Flowers will take an official visit to Oregon, but he's also planning on officially visiting USC and Oklahoma, according to Rivals National Recruiting Director Adam Gorney.

"Flowers' official visit to Eugene will happen the weekend of June 16-18," Gorney wrote. "That’s great news for the Ducks but Flowers is also planning official trips to Oklahoma and USC as those two teams continue to pursue the four-star pledge."

Flowers is rated as the No. 113 prospect nationally in the 2024 class, per the 247Sports.com composite. He's the No. 8 ranked safety.

Here's some of 247Sports.com's scouting report on Flowers

Good-sized defensive back with experience at multiple spots in the secondary and traits to move around. Pushing 6 feet with a near-6 1/2-foot wingspan and above average mass relative to position projection. Plays aware and active with competitive nature. Consistently willing to engage perimeter run, whether aligned at corner or safety. Physicality lives up to listed size and reflects in tackling ability. Length aids in ability to shrink catch windows and frustrate receivers at the line of scrimmage and downfield. Gets hands on a healthy number of throws. Also will play the ball as a run defender looking for the strip. Owns a multi-sport athletic profile that includes some somewhat limited track and field experience. Sophomore combine testing provided encouraging context relative to agility and lateral twitch, which shows on the field. Good functional athlete. Would ideally find more verified speed markers to provide additional context. Shows recovery speed, especially when playing nickel and over the top. Top gear likely has room to improve. Around the ball a lot and playmaking production could increase. Projects as a high-major defensive back who likely fits a safety or nickel role, but also could give you snaps at corner as needed. Potential to develop into a multi-year starter with an NFL Draft upside.
