USC Football: Trojans Offer 2025 Cornerback Out Of Georgia

In this story:
Sprayberry (Marrietta, GA) cornerback Mark Manfred took to Twitter today to announce that he received a scholarship offer from USC. The 6-2 ~175-pound Manfred is also considering offers from Clemson, Duke, Kentucky, Cincinnati, Wisconsin, and North Carolina to name a few of many. 247 Sports currently classifies him as a three-star cornerback, the 32nd-best cornerback in the class of 2025, and the 34th-best prospect in his class coming out of Georgia.
A two-time first-team all-region selection, Manfred is also a talented kick returner. He finished his junior season with 57 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss to go along with one interception, and 4 passes defended (MaxPreps).
USC has 17 commits in its 2024 class, four in its 2026 class, but zero in its 2025 class. Manfred hasn't publicly announced any sort of top-school list just yet, so there are no indicators of where USC stands in his consideration set. According to 247 Sports, USC has extended offers to 19 other cornerbacks in the 2025 class.

Worth considering is the Clemson offer. Clemson has a unique recruiting strategy, one in which rather than floating offers out to a ton of recruits, they are more reserved. If a recruit receives a Clemson offer under Dabo Swinney, it typically means that Clemson really wants that recruit. Their offers are typically a bit more highly regarded than most other school's offers, given the rarity of their offers. AllTrojans.com will be following the recruitment of Manfred as it plays out.
