And then there were 12.
Port Charlotte (Port Charlotte, FL) 2024 defensive lineman Myron Charles has been receiving a ton of attention from around the country. The self-reported 6-5 275-pound defensive lineman has offers galore, but recently whittled down the schools he is focusing on the most in a tweet with On3's Hayes Fawcett. His top 12 can be seen below:

On3 Sports has him as the 67th best recruit in the 2025 class, while 247 Sports and Rivals rank him as 240th and 160th, respectively. It's worth noting that usually, the major recruiting outlets have a small spread between where they rank each recruit. However in the case of Charles, there is a huge discrepancy in terms of how each recruiting network views his talent. This may point to Charles being more of a low floor, high ceiling prospect as opposed to a high floor prospect.
His Hudl film is a clinic on how to punch and extend against offensive lineman. He's got solid pad level throughout, but can get a little wild with his swim move. That is normal for taller high school defensive lineman, so it doesnt raise a big red flag by any means. The main critique of Charles' game is perhaps he tends to use his size and speed to win in pass rushing situations, rather than technique. So, while he is big strong and quick, we see why the major recruiting networks have such a varied opinion of him as a prospect.
AllTrojans.com will be following Charles' development as a player, and developments as a recruit to better asses his future.
