After 11 seasons, former USC Trojans head coach Andy Enfield is moving on to (apparently?) greener pastures. Southern Methodist University announced today that Enfield would be taking over to lead its program.

"I am so excited to join the SMU family," Enfield declared in a statement, per Matt Norlander of CBS Sports. "It is an incredible time for the university as we enter the ACC. The investments SMU has made in athletics, the support and alignment from leadership - President Turner, Rick Hart, David Miller and others - as well as the passion of the SMU fan base and community made this an incredibly attractive opportunity. We will make Mustang fans and the city of Dallas proud and cannot wait to get started."

During his 11 years with USC, Enfield led the club to a 220-146 overall record (105-100 in the Pac-12). The club made five NCAA Tournament appearances in that span, highlighted by an Elite Eight run in 2021. This season's Trojans tenure was particularly miserable. Plagued by injuries, USC posted a 15-18 record (8-12 in the Pac-12) and missed the Big Dance.
