West Virginia LB Tirek Austin-Cave Enters Transfer Portal

Tuesday afternoon, senior linebacker Tirek Austin-Cave announced on Twitter (X) that he will be leaving West Virginia and has entered the transfer portal.
Austin-Cave transferred to West Virginia from Miami in 2022 and in two years with the Mountaineers, he recorded four tackles, primarily serving as a member of the special teams unit. He also dealt with some injuries this past season that kept him from seeing the field.
West Virginia was in the mix for Austin-Cave coming out of Camden, New Jersey, placing WVU among his top list of schools along side Texas A&M, Minnesota, and of course, Miami. In his two years with Miami, he tallied 11 tackles in six games.
Austin-Cave will have two years of eligibility remaining.
