BREAKING: OL Eidan Buchanan Commits to West Virginia

Saturday afternoon, the West Virginia Mountaineers picked up their fifth commitment of the 2025 recruiting class by snagging Eidan Buchanan, a 6-foot-8, 310-pound offensive tackle out of Olney, Maryland, playing his high school ball at Good Counsel - the same school that produced WVU incoming freshman center Kyle Altuner.
Buchanan chose the Mountaineers over finalists Kentucky, Maryland, Rutgers, and Wisconsin. He also held offers from Boston College, Charlotte, East Carolina, James Madison, Miami (FL), Pitt, Syracuse, Temple, South Florida, and Virginia Tech.
“Coach Moore,” Buchanan said when asked why West Virginia was the choice. “I love the guy and how he recruited me. He has a great track record too.”
It’s safe to say that Moore’s history of not only developing o-lineman but providing them an opportunity to play early in their career played a major role in his decision.
