The announcement on X
"I am very blessed and excited to announce my commitment to West Virginia University!!
"First and foremost, I would like to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I would not be the person I am today without Him!
"Next, I want to say thank you to my family for everything they have done for me. I also want to thank Coach Deluca and all my coaches who have coached me and helped me get here.
"Thank you to all of my friends and teammates who have kept me grounded and motivated to work hard every day!
"I want to thank all of the coaches who believed in me throughout the recruiting process. Thank you, Coach Rodriguez and the WVU staff, for giving me this opportunity! Go Mountaineers!!
The scouting report on Cerovac
Absolute run stuffer. Does a great job in pursuit of his angles, not overplaying his leverage, and rarely ever gets beat out in space when a back tries to bounce it out to the perimeter. Can lineup at the MIKE or WILL but also off the edge in certain personnel packages, making him a versatile piece in Zac Alley's defense. Has the ability to get after the passer on blitzes, but more so when a quarterback scrambles — he can run from the opposite side of the field to track him down and record a sack or force a bad throw. Body-wise, he projects to be ready as a true freshman, but will likely take on a special teams role early in his career.
