West Virginia Adds App State Cornerback Transfer Jason Chambers

Appalachian State cornerback transfer Jason Chambers has confirmed to West Virginia On SI that he has committed to the WVU football program.
The Charlotte, North Carolina native began his collegiate career at North Carolina Central, where he appeared in 22 games across two seasons, totaling 13 pass breakups and three interceptions. He was named a First-Team HBCU All-American by College Football Network and a semifinalist for the Aeneas Williams Award (top HBCU defensive back in Division I).
In his lone season with App State, Chambers recorded 38 tackles, two passes defended, and an interception. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
