WVU Lands Top In-State Talent Zah Jackson

The Mountaineers land another commitment.

Thursday night, class of 2025 athlete Zah Jackson (5'10", 180 lbs) of Huntington, WV announced on Instagram that he has shut his recruitment down and has committed to West Virginia.

Jackson, the top-rated player in the state, chose the Mountaineers over offers from Akron, Appalachian State, Eastern Kentucky, Marshall, NC State, and a few others. Mississippi State and Liberty were considered to be in the mix as well.

Jackson is a two-way player who is being recruited to play in the back end of the West Virginia defense as a defensive back. As a junior, Jackson recorded 57 tackles, eight passes defended, and five interceptions.

He becomes the fourth member of West Virginia's 2025 recruiting class, joining QB Scotty Fox, WR Tyshawn Dues, and OL Thomas Barr.
