What do the experts make of the matchup? Let's see how the College Football Power Index computer prediction model projects the game.
Georgia vs. Tennessee picks, predictions
College Football Power Index is a computer prediction model that uses data points from both teams to simulate games 20,000 times and project winners.
This week, the index favors Georgia to win the game in 69.3 percent of its simulations, or 13,860 of its total projections.
Tennessee wins out in the remaining 30.7 percent of sims, or 6,140 predictions.
FPI predicts that Georgia has the second-best chance to win the SEC Championship and win 12.1 games this season. The computers project Tennessee will win 8.3 games.
By taking the difference between each team's projected scoring margin per game, the computers expect that Georgia will defeat Tennessee by 8.8 points, not enough to cover the line at SI Sportsbook, which favors the Bulldogs by 10 points.
