Deion Sanders makes bold Colorado football prediction in 2024

Deion Sanders won four games in his debut season as Colorado football coach, but after another active offseason and with the prospect of the College Football Playoff expanding to 12 teams, Coach Prime thinks his team is in position to do great things.
Armed with another strong transfer portal class and a promising recruiting haul that includes three top-100 ranked prospects, Sanders says the Buffaloes can "definitely" make the playoff in 2024.
"Last year, we were seven points away from 7-8 more wins," Sanders told Undisputed. "We just didn't know how to win. We got our butts kicked twice. Several of those games, we could have won. We could have definitely been a bowl team. We made noise, but now we're going to make some sounds."
To get to the postseason, and certainly the playoff, Colorado will have to improve its play on both lines of scrimmage and defensively overall to help its talented skill players out a little more.
"I can honestly say we fulfilled all the needs," Sanders said.
"We fulfilled the need on the offensive line. You're probably going to see a whole new offensive line. You are probably going to see a new defensive line. We had some good safety play. We got to step it up with the linebackers. We're still going to go out and maybe get another one or two linebackers to give us some depth."

Sanders added: "We've pretty much stepped up every level inside this building. I'm happy and pleased. When I go downstairs and I work out with the guys, I love what I see. I love the competitive nature. I love the leadership that is being taken at every position."
While it may seem far-fetched to see Colorado in the College Football Playoff this season, Sanders has a chance to make a statement in the new-look Big 12 and make a bowl game when all is said and done.
