In this story:

Baltimore Orioles fans are clearly excited about their team, which is in the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

After winning 101 games and the American League East, the O's are also hosting their first playoff games at Camden Yards since 2014 - and the fans have responded in a big way.

Per Andy Kostka of the Baltimore Banner on social media:

Announced attendance at Camden Yards: 46,450 fans, the largest crowd of the season (and the largest here since 2014)

That's a massive crowd and a massive response by the fans to this team. After being one of the doormats in baseball for several years, the O's rebounded in a huge way this year and are certainly in contention to win the World Series.

They have some of the best young talent in baseball with Adley Rutschman and Gunnar Henderson, and also feature solid offensive contributors like Anthony Santander and Austin Hays.

Despite the loss of closer Felix Bautista to a torn UCL, they still have a solid back end of the bullpen. The starting rotation is the biggest question about these O's in the playoffs.

At the time of this posting, the Orioles trail the Rangers, 3-2, in the bottom of the seventh inning. The O's faithful will have another chance to show out again on Sunday afternoon for Game 2.

That game will begin at 4:07 p.m. ET and will feature Jordan Montgomery (TEX) against rookie Grayson Rodriguez.

If the series goes that long, the next Orioles' home game will be a decisive Game 5.
