New Cleveland Guardians OF Ramon Laureano Joins Himself in Unique Baseball Lore

Ramon Laureano of the Cleveland Guardians made unique baseball history on Tuesday night, joining himself as the only people to ever accomplish this feat.

The Cleveland Guardians beat the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night by a score of 1-0.

It was an impressive bounceback win for Cleveland, who blew a game on Monday night and ended up losing 3-1.

Tanner Bibee was the story on the mound, tossing 7.0 scoreless innings and striking out six. At the plate, the lone run was scored thanks to a Ramon Laureano double in the second inning.

Laureano was just claimed off waivers from the Oakland Athletics and immediately made some very unique baseball history in the win.

Per ESPN Stats & Info:

In his Guardians debut, Ramón Laureano drove in the only run in a 1-0 win.

He's the first player to have the only RBI in a 1-0 win in a team debut since... himself in his MLB debut with the A's in 2018.

It's a nice moment in a down year for Laureano.

He's played in just 65 games season and is hitting .215 overall with seven homers and 22 RBI.

Lifetime, he's a .246 hitter who has been known for his tremendous outfield arm.

The Guardians win was important as it kept them relevant in the American League Central. At 55-59, they are now 4.5 games back of the Minnesota Twins. After selling at the trade deadline, the Guardians appear more focused on next year, but if they can continue to remain close, you never know what could happen.

They'll take on the Blue Jays again on Wednesday night. First pitch is set for 7:10 p.m. ET as Kevin Gausman (TOR) pitches against Logan Allen (CLE).
