Powerful Philadelphia Phillies Set New Team Mark in August

In this story:
When we talk about power-hitting National League East teams, we generally focus on the Atlanta Braves.
The Philadelphia Phillies would like a word about that.
The Phillies clubbed three home runs on Saturday night in a 12-1 drubbing of the St. Louis Cardinals, getting shots from Nick Castellanos, Bryson Stott and Brandon Marsh.
With the Castellanos blast, the Phillies set a new team record as well.
Per ESPN Stats & Info:
Nick Castellanos's 3-R HR is the Phillies' 47th of August, the most home runs hit in any month in franchise history. They've already added another since breaking the record.

So that's 48 home runs for the month of August and we still have a few more games to play. Fifty home runs for the month is likely to happen.
The defending National League champs are turning it on as we get ready for the playoffs again and currently own the top spot in the National League wild card race. They lead the Chicago Cubs by 3.0 games for the top spot and the Arizona Diamondbacks by 3.5.
For Castellanos, that was his 22nd home run of the season. Stott hit his 13th homer and Marsh connected on his ninth. The Phils had 12 hits in total.
They'll take on the Cardinals again on Sunday afternoon at Citizens Bank Park. First pitch is set for 1:35 p.m. ET as Drew Rom (STL) pitches against Aaron Nola (PHI).
Rom is 0-1 with a 14.73 ERA while Nola is 11-8 with a 4.49 ERA.
