The Atlanta Braves Are Going to Shatter Another Home Run Record

In this story:
The Atlanta Braves are going to shatter another home run record.
They already own the most home runs hit before the All-Star break in baseball history, and they are going to soon add this one to their power collection.
Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com:
most first-inning HR before August:
2019 Reds: 31
2023 Braves: 30
2018 Rockies: 30
2000 Cardinals: 30
entire-season record for 1st-inning HR: 46 by 2019 Reds

With half of the month of July left, the Braves are assuredly going to hit at least two more home runs in the first inning to break that record. The question won't be if they'll break the record, it will be by how much.
Today's first-inning home run came on a grand slam by Matt Olson, who now has 30 homers for the year.
With Olson (30), Ozzie Albies (22), Ronald Acuna Jr. (21), Sean Murphy (17), Marcell Ozuna (17), Austin Riley (16) and Eddie Rosario (14) all in double-digit homers, the Braves boast the most power in the entire league.
It's no wonder they entered play on Friday with the best record in the league at 60-29. They beat the White Sox, 9-0, to run their astounding record to 61-29 through 90 games.
The Braves will host the White Sox again on Saturday night. First pitch in that contest is slated for 7:15 p.m. ET as All-Star Spencer Strider pitches for Atlanta against Lance Lynn.
Strider is 11-2 with a 3.44 ERA on the year while Lynn is 5-8 with a 6.03.
