The Baltimore Orioles are already without outfielder Cedric Mullins and now they appear to be without Aaron Hicks for a little longer than expected.

Here's the latest injury report on the veteran outfielder via the Rotowire fantasy baseball portal:

Hicks (hamstring) is expected back in the next 10-14 days, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

ANALYSIS
It was initially reported that Hicks expected a minimum length stay on the 10-day injured list, but this news pushes his ETA back about a week. Once healthy, Hicks should assume a part-time role in what could be a pretty crowded outfield, as Cedric Mullins (groin) is also due back in the same timeframe.

Hicks is hitting .230 this season in its entirety, but he's been a better .252 since joining the Orioles. He's played 42 games for the O's after playing 28 for the Yankees. He was designated for assignment by New York.

He's in his 11th year in the big leagues with the Twins, Yankees and Orioles. He's a career .231 hitter who's best season came in 2018 with the Yankees, when he received MVP votes.

The O's have the best record in the American League entering play on Wednesday, so Hicks will come back to a team that is a true contender in the AL playoff picture.

Baltimore is 66-41 and in first place in the American League East by 1.5 games over the Tampa Bay Rays. They'll take on the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday at 7:07 p.m. ET.

Grayson Rodriguez (BAL) pitches against Yusei Kikuchi (TOR).
