Cincinnati Reds Place Nick Lodolo on Injured List with Lower Leg Issue

In this story:
In a follow-up to a story we gave you yesterday, the Cincinnati Reds have now placed left-handed starting pitcher Nick Lodolo on the 15-day injured list.
It's a lower leg issue for Lodolo, who has been experiencing calf issues off and on this season. He was scratched from two separate starts this week (Thursday and Saturday).
Charlie Goldsmith, who covers the Reds, put this out on Twitter:
David Bell said it will probably be a minimum of four weeks before Nick Lodolo (calf) returns. They’ll have TJ Friedl (oblique) get some work in today. How he feels will shape whether or not he goes on the IL.

He then added a follow-up on Lodolo from the manager:
Bell: "He’ll be in a boot for a week to take all pressure off it. He was trying to pitch through it. The good thing is we got all the information yesterday that we needed. He’ll take a step back and be back healthy."
Lodolo is one of the many intriguing young pieces on the Reds roster and in the Reds system. After acquiring several pieces from the Mariners in the Luis Castillo trade, and more pieces from the Twins in the Tyler Mahle trade, the future does look bright in Cincinnati. The Reds also have flamethrower Hunter Greene at the major league level.
Lodolo is 25 years old and a former first-round pick. He's armed with an upper-90s fastball and a devastating slider. He's 2-1 this year with a 6.29 ERA in 34.1 innings. He has 47 strikeouts in those 34.1 innings. After debuting last year, he's 6-8 lifetime with a 4.31 ERA.
