Milwaukee Brewers Could Welcome Back Speedy Contributor For Playoff Race

The Milwaukee Brewers received positive news on the injury front on Friday regarding outfielder Garrett Mitchell.
Per Brewers reporter Adam McCalvy:

That could be big news for the 'Crew, who could get Mitchell back at the conclusion of the Triple-A season. If that happens, he'd get an opportunity to get a few games in before the end of the major league season and then could end up being a factor for the Brewers in the playoffs.
He injured his shoulder back on April 18 and hasn't played since.
The 25-year-old California native is hitting .259 this season through 58 at-bats. He's got three home runs, six RBI and has stolen a base.
Before the 2022 season, Mitchell was the No. 4 ranked prospect in the Brewers' system. What MLB.com touted was his speed and defensive ability, things that could make him a valuable chess piece come playoff time.
What makes Mitchell such a promising prospect is his athleticism. He’s a plus-plus runner who can steal a base (17 in 19 attempts last season) and turn balls hit to the outfield into extra-base hits. He covers lots of ground in center and showcases a plus arm that makes him an overall defensive asset...
The Brewers enter play on Friday at 82-64 on the season and 4.5 games up in the National League Central.
