2023 Team Cuba World Baseball Classic Roster

Team Cuba has finalized its roster for the 2023 World Baseball Classic. The Cuban National Team will feature Chicago White Sox stars Luis Robert and Yoan Moncada, as well as two-time All-Star Yoenis Cespedes.

Managed by Armando Johnson, the Cuban National Team will feature Chicago White Sox stars Luis Robert and Yoan Moncada, as well as two-time All-Star Yoenis Cespedes.

Six years ago, in the last World Baseball Classic, Cuba reached the second round of the WBC in 2017, but went 0-3 in Pool E, losing to Israel, Japan and the Netherlands. Cuba went 2-1 in Pool B, defeating China and Australia, but falling to Japan.

Cuba finished second in the first ever World Baseball Classic in 2006, reaching the championship game, but losing to Japan. The Cuban National Team has not reached the semifinals since. Team Cuba hopes to win its first World Baseball Classic title ever in 2023.

Cuba will competing in Pool A in Taichung, Taiwan against Chinese Taipei, Italy, Netherlands and Panama Mar. 8-13.
