Boston Red Sox Broadcast Booth Taking Shape For 2024 Season

In this story:
According to Chris Cotillo of MassLIVE, the broadcast booth for the 2024 Boston Red Sox season is beginning to take shape.
Per Red Sox Insider Tyler Milliken on social media:
According to @ChrisCotillo,
“The color analyst roster for 2024 is to be determined though there has been a push from some circles to get Merloni, who also called games for WEEI in 2023, to do more on TV.“
Bring me more Lou.
Jahmai Webster is confirmed to be back in 2024.
He also notes that it’s believed Dave O’Brien signed a recent extension.

The Red Sox have a very diverse broadcast booth structure. O'Brien serves as the play-by-play man and is joined by a rotating cast of color commentators. Sometime the booth operates as a two-man booth or a three-man booth.
It's undergone some changes in the last few years because of the passing of Jerry Remy and the retirement of Dennis Eckersley.
Merloni, the former Red Sox infielder and Boston radio host, is popular among fans. Kevin Youkilis also spends time in the booth, as does Kevin Millar.
Merloni spent parts of nine seasons in the big leagues with the Red Sox, Padres, Indians (Guardians) and Angels. He was a lifetime .271 hitter with 14 homers and 125 RBI. He is a Massachusetts native who played his college baseball at Providence.
The Red Sox have also used young broadcaster Mike Monaco as a fill-in for O'Brien, but he could end up going to the Chicago White Sox. He was listed as a possible replacement for broadcaster Jason Benetti, who left last week for the Tigers.
