It's always fun to see baseball guys together in the offseason. Whether it's a workout video or something like this, it's good to see anything baseball-related at this time of the calendar. We are still more than two months away from spring training.
De La Cruz, 21, is one of the up-and-coming stars in baseball. He made his major league debut with the Reds in June of 2023 and immediately made an impact. Though he's an imperfect player who strikes out too much (at this point), he hit .235 with 13 homers and 35 stolen bases.
One of the best athletes in the league, he can hit prodigious home runs, run at top sprint speeds, and possesses one of the most powerful throwing arms in the sport. Upon his arrival in the big leagues, the Reds immediately got hot and challenged for their first playoff berth since 2020.
As for Soto, he's one of the best hitters in the game period. Still just 25 years old, he's already a three-time All-Star, a four-time Silver Slugger and a batting champion. He also helped the Washington Nationals win the 2019 World Series and is a career .284 hitter with a .421 on-base percentage.
