ESPN MLB Insider Discusses The White Sox Thought Process Ahead of Trade Deadline

In this story:
The Chicago White Sox enter play on Friday a severely underwhelming 32-44, but because of their home in the weak American League Central, they are just six games back in the division.
As a result of that, ESPN MLB Insider Buster Olney doesn't think that the White Sox will be compelled to sell at the trade deadline until they absolutely have to.
Speaking on 'The Brady Farkas Show' on WDEV Radio on Friday, Olney said the following in a response to a question about possible trade compensation for starting pitcher Lucas Giolito:
"I don't think he's going to be moved until the White Sox know for sure, with near certainty, that they are just not going to put on the run that they expect internally... the owner Jerry Reinsdorf has won championships, he's now in his mid-80s and he OK'd four or five years ago when they traded Chris Sale, essentially this tanking-rebuilding. And they built this team up for this moment. I don't think they are going to think about selling until they absolutely feel like they're done..."
You can hear his full comments below:
With regards to Giolito, he is 5-4 with a 3.54 ERA. He's struck out 89 batters over 86.1 innings this season.
Giolito has made an All-Star team before and is a free agent at the end of the season, making him attractive to other teams as Olney pointed out.
Giolito pitches on Friday night for the White Sox against the Boston Red Sox.
First pitch is 8:10 p.m. ET.
