Anything you can do, I can do better....

Shohei Ohtani homered for the Angels on Wednesday in a victory over the Boston Red Sox, so Mike Trout had to follow with one as well.

Trout took Sox reliever Nick Pivetta deep in the bottom of the fourth inning in a game that the Angels eventually won 7-3. The win moved LA to 28-23 and makes them winners of four straight.

Trout's blast made a little history as well. With his 362nd career home run, he passed Hall of Famer Joe DiMaggio on the all-time home run list.

Overshadowed by Ohtani at times, Trout continues to be one of the best players in baseball, presently and historically. He's hitting .275 this year with 12 home runs and 27 RBI, while posting an OPS of .891.

A first-round pick in 2009, Trout is a 10-time All-Star, a nine-time Silver Slugger, a three-time MVP, a two-time All-Star Game MVP, and a winner of the Rookie of the Year award.

He's a lock for the Hall of Fame, likely on the first ballot, and will join DiMaggio in Cooperstown.

DiMaggio spent 13 years in the major leagues, missing three years in his prime because of military service. He hit the 361 home runs, drove in 1,537, was a 13-time All-Star, a nine-time champion, a three-time MVP and a two-time batting champion.

He was a lifetime .325 hitter and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1955.

The Angels just swept the Red Sox and will host the Marlins on Friday at 9:38 p.m. ET.
