Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts will be joining the media for the night, pairing with MLB Network in its coverage of Game 3 of the World Series on Monday.

Barrett Sports Media had the news:

NEWS: Mookie Betts is set to join MLB Network for World Series Game 3 coverage tonight. This marks the third consecutive season a current star not in the Fall Classic has joined MLB's media coverage. 

Per the outlet:

Betts will appear on a bevy of MLB properties, including MLB Network, ahead of the game, and will speak with players and coaches during pregame and postgame interviews.

It isn’t the first media endeavor for the MLB star. Earlier this year, Mookie Betts launched a video and podcast series called On Base with Mookie Betts in conjunction with Bleacher Report. He is also the owner and executive producer of One Market Group, where he develops scripted and unscripted projects.

It's great for Betts and for the network, as Betts has ample World Series experience. He played in (and won) the 2018 World Series with the Red Sox and the 2020 World Series with the Dodgers.

Unfortunately, LA was beaten by the Diamondbacks in the NLDS, getting swept in three games, so Betts isn't playing in this game.

Despite the playoff failure, he did have an incredible regular season and will receive significant MVP votes. 

He hit .307 with 39 homers and 107 RBI.

Game 3 of the World Series will begin at 8:03 p.m. ET. The series is tied 1-1 between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers.
