MLB Insider Says League Should Go All-in on Taylor Swift Mania

In this story:
Taylor Swift has already taken over the NFL this season.
Should she take over Major League Baseball down the stretch too?
According to Evan Drellich, national baseball insider at 'The Athletic,' the answer is a resounding yes.
Per Drellich on social media:
If there are World Series games played in Philadelphia, Rob Manfred and FOX should have blank checks ready for Taylor Swift. Album release week, hometown, 15-year anniversary of her 2008 anthem performance… if they care about ratings—and they do!—they tell her to name her price
With all the NFL crossover and the overall prominence for Swift at the moment, I think it is literally negligent if MLB does not at least inquire and ask the question. How could you not want to see if there’s any chance you could generate some of the same buzz for yourself?

It certainly makes sense, doesn't it? Swift is the biggest star on the planet right now. Everything she wears, touches or eats, makes money - and that's what MLB is concerned about doing. Heck, even a movie about her concert tour is shattering the box office. Having her appear and sing the National Anthem, or even just appear, at a game or on the screen, would generate massive eyeballs and attention to the sport and its advertising partners.
The 33-year-old Swift is a Pennsylvania native as Drellich notes, so there's certainly a logical tie-in if the Phillies are playing in the World Series.
The Phillies just have to get there first. They lead the best-of-seven NLCS right now 1-0 after defeating the Diamondbacks in Game 1 on Monday.
Game 2 is on Tuesday night.
