It certainly looks like the two countrymen are happy to be on the field together. They both played together this year for Venezuela at the World Baseball Classic, as well.
Cabrera is among the best players to ever come out of Venezuela, while Acuna might turn into the best player to ever come out of Venezuela.
While Cabrera is limping to the finish line of his great career by hitting .215 this year with one home run and seven RBI, he is one of the all-time greats.
A .307 career hitter, he's part of both the 500 home run and 3,000 hit clubs. He's also a 12-time All-Star, a seven-time Silver Slugger, a four-time batting champion, a two-time MVP and a triple crown winner.
Acuna, 25, has already won a Rookie of the Year award and World Series title and will be in the running for the MVP this year in the National League.
His .335 average is tied for second in baseball while his 15 homers are tied for 12th. His 29 stolen bases are second.
Other prominent players from Venezuela include Johan Santana, Felix Hernandez, Bobby Abreu and Magglio Ordonez. There are several other very accomplished players as well.
